Over the course of its life cycle, one ton of corrugated cardboard causes emissions amounting to 538 kg of CO2 equivalent, as a result of the efforts made by manufacturers of corrugated cardboard to minimize its environmental impact. A raw material from recycled paper and board<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

Recycled paper and board provide 80% of the cellulose fibers used to make corrugated cardboard. 14%, out of the remaining 20%, consists of new fibres which are introduced into the cycle to maintain the quality and technical characteristics of the finished product. These new fibres come from saw-mill waste and forestry by-products (wood chips from selection cutting, thinning etc).[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

In France, the recycling rate for paper and cardboard stands at 93.5% in 2017. This is one of the highest recycling rates in Europe, including all packaging types.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
